This course aimed to enhance participants' knowledge and skills in drafting and revising national nuclear safety regulations in their respective participating countries.
The event was opened by IAEA Expert Petr Krs, who provided a review of the previous day's activities. Participants then presented their findings from the course. These presentations included recommendations and suggestions for regulatory bodies, cooperation between countries, and future action plans for both their institutions and individuals.
Next, Petr Krs presented a summary of the training. Topics covered included the development of national nuclear safety regulations, the role of nuclear regulatory bodies, and the three stages of the nuclear regulatory system.
The event continued with a question-and-answer session with IAEA experts on regulatory development in their respective countries. All participants were then awarded certificates of completion.
In his closing, Ahmad Ciptadi Syuryavin, Head of the BAPETEN Education and Training Division (BDL), expressed his intention that this event would serve as a platform for exchanging experiences on nuclear energy oversight, particularly in the energy sector. "I expect we can contribute to each other, help each other, and maintain communication between countries in the context of nuclear energy programs. Thank you to the IAEA for hosting this event, and thank you to the participants for actively participating in the program," he concluded. [BHKK/Da/GP]
