Closing Follow-Up IRRS Mission

​The Follow-Up IRRS (Integrated Regulatory Review Service) Mission which lasts for 10 (ten) days, starts from 25th November to 4th December 2019, officially closed on Wednesday (4/12). Closing took place in BAPETEN Auditorium Room 8th Floor.

The event began with a report from Carl-Magnus Larsson as the IRRS Mission team leader. Larsson conveyed recommendations and suggestions according to international standards, as well as BAPETEN challenges going forward. He also appreciated the Safety and Security Award held by BAPETEN in promoting a culture of security and safety to users of the use of nuclear power in Indonesia. Furthermore, the results of the IRRS Follow-Up Mission will be sent later from the IAEA to the Indonesian government.

Head of BAPETEN Jazi Eko Istiyanto was present as well as giving a speech at this event. In his remarks, Jazi thanked the IAEA and the experts of the Follow-Up IRRS Mission. He also said that the purpose of the Follow-Up IRRS Mission was to continue the work of improving regulatory effectiveness by reviewing the state’s progress in responding to IRRS Mission's recommendations or suggestions.
