The 75th Commemoration of Anniversary of Independence, Seconds of the Proclamation of Indonesia's Independence, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, was carried out simply and solemnly, was very minimalist and complied with the health protocol which was carried out at the Merdeka Palace Jakarta virtually.
On August 17 at 10.17 - 10.20 WIB (for 3 minutes), all Indonesian people are obliged to stop their activities for a moment. All Indonesian people stand firm when the song Indonesia Raya is sang simultaneously in various locations to remote areas. For this reason, all BAPETEN employees also attended the flag ceremony of the 75th Anniversary, which was carried out through live broadcasts of National Television or Social Media from their respective residences.
Commemoration of the Seconds of the Proclamation of Indonesia's Independence was chaired by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo as the Inspector of the ceremony. The ceremony, which was held on Monday, August 17, was attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Chairman of the MPR, the Minister of Religion, the Commander of TNI and the National Police Chief.
