One of the efforts to improve the professionalism and competence of civil servants is through Functional Officer, which emphasize the function of civil servant in accordance with core of the institution or in accordance with the expertise possessed by the civil servant. For that, BAPETEN as an institution that oversees the use of nuclear energy, has a Specific Functional Officer for Radiation Supervisors, organizing Training on Intermediate Radiation Supervisor Functional.
The training began with report from the Chairman of the Committee who said that the training was attended by 28 participants from 8 technical work units and held online.
In his opening remarks the Chairman for Administration of BAPETEN Hendriyanto Hadi Tjahyono said, "At present, being healthy is very sensitive during this pandemic. We really have to take care of our health by always paying attention to health protocols. We have heard, in the world, even our friends have been affected, so we must always maintain and improve the discipline of health protocols".
"Our step to maintain the health protocol, in this epidemic is online training. This training is the third training conducted online. With online training, we can still conduct training without considering the number of participants. Even though the number of participants is small, it can still be carried out. "
The event will be held from 23 to 30 July 2020. Through the achievement and performance of functional officer, it is expected that they will get an assessment in accordance with the applicable regulations and can be faster to raise the class.
