Kembali 18 Desember 2024 | Berita BAPETEN | 10 lihatBAPETEN's Center for Regulatory Assessment of Radiation Facility and Radioactive Materials (P2STPFRZR) held socialization and public participation as a form of accountability for activities and to request input, suggestions, directions and final responses to activities that have been carried out by the P2STPFRZR work unit in the 2024 budget year for the Health Assessment Function Group (KFPK) field on 17-18 December 2024.
On the first day, KFPK held a finalization meeting as well as socialization of study products for internal BAPETEN circles, inviting leaders and all personnel of related work units, namely the Directorate of Regulation of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DP2FRZR), Directorate of Inspection of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DIFRZR), Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR) and Directorate of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness (DKKN).
Furthermore, on the second day, a socialization of the study products was held by inviting stakeholders from the Ministry of Health, the National Research and Innovation Agency, colleges/universities, hospitals with radiotherapy and diagnostic radiology facilities, professional associations that house medical physicists and radiographers, and justification applicants.
The activity was opened by the Head of P2STPFRZR Taruniyati Handayani, who conveyed the results of the studies that had been carried out during the year, as well as efforts to seek input or responses from other technical work units regarding the studies and guidelines that had been carried out. After that, it was continued with a direction from the Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment, Haendra Subekti, who said that the assessment must be able to provide input to regulations, licensing, and inspection. “The assessment must be in front in the sense that before the supervision policy is carried out, the assessment is first carried out, or the assessment can be an improvement of an existing policy,” concluded Haendra.
The activity continued with the presentation of activities carried out in 2024 which included: mapping of patient radiation doses, guidelines for the application of the Diagnostic Guidance Level (TPD), development of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) - Si-INTAN, guidelines for implementing radiological reviews in radiotherapy facilities, Si-INTAN Seminar (Radiation Safety in Medical Exposure), scientific publications through the Journal of Nuclear Energy Supervision (Jupeten), review and evaluation of justification for the use of ionizing radiation sources, study of the development of conformity tests for 3D modalities, study of the provision of Radiation Hazard Allowances (TBR) for BAPETEN employees, and analysis of the suitability of Minister of Health Regulation Number 24 of 2020 with BAPETEN Regulation Number 4 of 2020.
After the presentation session was over, it was followed by a discussion and responses. The participants gave a good appreciation of this event by considering that the study activities carried out were in line with expectations, the information on the results of the study and its access could be known, and the study personnel were fast and responsive in responding to issues that needed to be studied.
It is expected that the studies conducted will be of higher quality, the resulting policy recommendations will be clearer and more concrete, the involvement of interested parties and the community in the study process will increase, and public understanding of the bureaucracy in preparing policy recommendations will increase. In addition, it is also hoped that the public will understand and be involved in the complete cycle of the study process or the preparation of policy recommendations.
