The 117th National Awakening Day Commemoration Ceremony

The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) held the 117th National Awakening Day Commemoration Ceremony on May 20, 2025, in the courtyard of Building A of the BAPETEN Office, Jakarta. This activity aimed to maintain, cultivate, and strengthen the spirit of Indonesian nationalism as a fundamental foundation for development, uphold democratic values based on morals and ethics in national and state life, and strengthen brotherhood to accelerate the realization of a Golden Indonesia within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
The 117th National Awakening Day embraced the theme "Rise Together to Create a Strong Indonesia." This theme was chosen to galvanize the collective spirit of all elements of the nation in facing various challenges and moving forward towards a more resilient, independent, and prosperous Indonesia. The commemoration ceremony was attended by all echelons 1 to 4, along with all BAPETEN employees.
In the remarks by the Minister of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia (Menkomdigi), Meutya Viada Hafid, read by the Acting Chairman of BAPETEN, Sugeng Sumbarjo, the ceremony instructor stated, "In this commemoration of National Awakening Day, we reaffirm the direction of the nation's journey. And in that spirit, the government has designated Asta Cita as the main compass of National Awakening."
The ceremony concluded with the singing of the national anthem and the BAPETEN march and a prayer. [BHKK/OR/CD/Translator: GP]
