Present at the event were Acting Chairman of BAPETEN Zainal Arifin and Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment Haendra Subekti, as well as senior leaders and representatives from each work unit at BAPETEN.

The event opened with remarks from the Head of the BAPETEN Internal Auditors, Achmad Bussamah, who said that this outreach was an important moment in preventing and eradicating corrupt behavior. “Preventing corruption must begin with ourselves through integrity in the implementation of licensing and inspection activities,” he said.

Furthermore, Haendra Subekti emphasized the importance of anti-corruption education from an early age for the next generation. “I hope that all BAPETEN employees can carry out their supervisory duties and functions with anti-corruption integrity,” he added.

The event then continued with a presentation by Agustinus Wibowo entitled Uniting Action to Eradicate Corruption: Building Integrity in Nuclear Supervision. During the presentation, Agustinus explained various forms of corruption and highlighted minor acts that are often encountered, such as gratuities, illegal levies, and extortion, which, if left unchecked, can develop into larger acts of corruption.

The material was further explored through a presentation titled Efforts to Prevent Corruption through Risk Management by Dwi Iwan Susanto. In his presentation, Iwan said that agency leaders are required to conduct risk assessment and management. The risk management process that can be carried out includes risk identification, risk analysis, risk control activities, risk control monitoring, and monitoring reporting. This aims to improve risk owner compliance, enhance organizational performance, provide information on corruption risks, and improve the effectiveness of internal controls.

The event was closed by Acting Chairman of BAPETEN Zainal Arifin, who emphasized the importance of anti-corruption integrity in carrying out supervisory duties and functions.
