SIB Examination Services for Nuclear Installation and Materials Officers at the G.A. Siwabessy Multipurpose Reactor (RSG-GAS)

The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), through the Directorate of Licensing of Nuclear Installation and Materials (DPIBN), is conducting the Non-Power Reactor Supervisor & Maintenance Technician (Reaktor Non Daya or RND) examination service at the G.A. Siwabessy Multipurpose Reactor (RSG-GAS), B.J. Habibie Science and Technology Area (KST BJ Habibie), Serpong, South Tangerang, on April 28-30 and May 2, 2025. This is an implementation of Article 19 of Law No. 10 of 1997 on nuclear energy, which mandates the obligation of certain officers at nuclear installations to have a work permit.
The implementation of the examination refers to Regulation of the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency No. 7 of 2019 on Work Permits (Surat Izin Bekerja or SIB) for Nuclear Installation and Material (IBN) Officers, which states that to obtain a work permit, IBN officers must meet the requirements and pass the IBN officer exam administered by BAPETEN. The exam consists of three types: a written/electronic exam, an oral exam, and a practical exam.
The IBN officer exam will last four days, from April 28 to 30 and May 2, 2025. The written exam, practical exam, and presentation of the results will be held offline for three days at the B.J. Habibie Building, Serpong, South Tangerang, and the oral exam will be held in a hybrid format (offline and online) for two days. The practical exam will be assisted by a supervisory examiner from the Directorate of Nuclear Power Facility Management, National Research and Innovation Agency (DPFK-BRIN). This exam aims to ensure the officers' competency is met to ensure safety for the officers, the public, and the environment. (DPIBN/Alvin/BHKK/CD/Translator: GP)
