The Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR) of the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) conducted an ISO 9001:2015 surveillance audit by Intertek SAI Global on September 29-30, 2025, at the BAPETEN office. This audit was conducted to recertify ISO 9001:2015 and maintain the quality of the DPFRZR management system.

Dipo Pramudito served as lead auditor during the audit, while DPFRZR Director Asep Saefulloh Hermawan and all the staff served as auditees.

Asep Saefulloh Hermawan, in his opening remarks, stated that this audit is one of the activities to maintain DPFRZR's certification. BAPETEN currently has several activities, including resolving the radioactive contamination case in Cikande, Banten.

Dipo Pramudito further stated that BAPETEN has been ISO 9001:2015 certified for several years. He expects to maintain this certification. This audit is a compliance audit, which seeks compliance with legal or customer requirements, not findings. However, any findings will be categorized into three categories: major, minor, and opportunities for improvement. "As auditors, we adhere to a code of ethics of impartiality, ensuring we have no conflicts of interest in the organization or directorate. We are also bound by a code of ethics of confidentiality, ensuring information presented or obtained from the organization will not be published without permission. We also adhere to an anti-bribery code of ethics, prohibiting the acceptance of gifts, especially in the form of money."

The audit was conducted over two days, covering all functional groups within the certification scope. The first day covered the management system, helpdesk and consultation, customer service, maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, and procurement of goods and services. On the second day, audits were conducted on the function groups for radiation facilities licensing, medical facilities licensing, and research and industrial facilities licensing. The audit continued to assess competency.

In the closing meeting, Dipo stated that the audit results were excellent, with no major or minor issues identified. He recommended that the ISO 9001:2015 certification be continued for the next three years.

The event was concluded by Roy Candra Primarsa, the Health Facilities Licensing Function Group Manager, who stated that the results presented were encouraging. He noted several key service priorities, including ensuring that the image of obtaining nuclear energy permits is not difficult. Several innovations will continue to be implemented, balanced with policies that encourage innovations that help permit applicants to process permits easily, simply, and user-friendly. He expects that the achievements can be continued and improved. [BHKK/YL/Translator: GP]
