The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), through the Directorate of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness (DKKN), conducted a surveillance of the Nuclear Training Institution of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of Diponegoro University (FSM UNDIP) and Poltekkes Ministry of Health Semarang, where this activity is an implementation of Article 181 of BAPETEN's Regulation No. 1 of 2022 on supervision of the supporting sub-sectors of the nuclear energy sector, which took place from 18 to 20 November 2024. FSM UNDIP has currently received a recommendation as a Nuclear Energy Training Institute for Level 1 and 2 Medical Radiation Protection Officers. Meanwhile, Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang has been appointed as a Nuclear Energy Training Institute for Level 2 Medical Radiation Protection Officers.

The purpose of these surveillance activities is to ensure the quality of the implementation of training carried out by the Nuclear Energy Training Institute to produce Radiation Protection Officers who meet the competencies expected in the BAPETEN's Chairman Regulation No. 16 of 2014.
